The Summit Garage, Himley Road, Gornal Wood.
The present Garage was founded in 1945 by Robert 'Jack' Newey and has remained a family business ever since, still referred to by the locals as "Jack Neweys''.
The original Summit Garage was owned at least before 1933 by J. and F. Hickman, as the advert indicates.
The Garage was again up for sale in 1941.

comprising Corrugated Iron-Built GARAGE 36ft. by 24ft. by about 20ft. High, with Belfast Roof, carried on 7in. by 3in. Stanchions with Concrete Floor, well lighted and having one side and front Entrance, together with ONE GALLON BOWSER PETROL PUMP, 500 Gallon tank, two Work Benches and small Office.
