The Schools of Upper and Lower Gornal and Ruiton.

The early schools in Gornal were run by the Church.

Ruiton Schools. Upper Gornal.	National School Lower Gornal.	Tudor School Upper Gornal.
Redhall School. Lower Gornal.	Robert Street School Lower Gornal.	Other Schools

1843: Report by Rev. W. Lewis, Vicar of Sedgley.

At Lower Gornal are schools for boys and girls, about 50 of each.

At Upper Gornal is a British School for 200 infants, which is also used as a Sunday School.

Sedgley School Board was formed on May 23rd, 1876 and had jurisdiction over the entire Sedgley Parish, which included the Gornals.
